Kaizer Chiefs should be declared PSL Champions – Tendai Ndoro
Zimbabwean talisman and former Orlando Pirates forward, Tendai Ndoro declared that Kaizer Chiefs must be declared PSL champions for the current season.
Football and all sports have been suspended to curb the spread the coronavirus pandemic. This has affected the local PSL which looked like was going to experience one of the epic finishes. The Naturena outfit Kaizer Chiefs are the current log leaders with 48 points from 22 league games.
The raise in the local virus cases cast further doubt if the league is going to resume in time to pave way for the following 2020/2021 season.
The 34 year old Pirates affiliated striker Tendai Ndoro says that Ernst Middendrorp’s men should be declared winners of the 2019/2020 season. Tendai Ndoro currently in the Highlands Park books doesn’t think that football should grace our screens soon due to the COVID- 19 pandemic.
“Players health should come first even with the suggestions of football matches commencing behind closed doors. Let’s value human life my brother, football and monetary contracts comes after human life. This virus is real and is claiming human lives, even if we are to play behind closed doors, football is a contact sport and causes more than enough problems,” Tendai Ndoro said.
Ndoro strongly believes that log leaders Kaizer Chiefs should be declared PSL champions for this season.
“Football is awarded based on merit, it’s a results sport and Kaizer Chiefs have the points to prove it. It’s fair and just to declare them PSL champions for this season. They (Kaizer Chiefs) put a lot of effort, hard work and commitment to be leaders in such a competitive league. They are our champions, period,” said Ndoro who had a mixed season after featuring 14 matches for Highlands Park scoring twice and assisting once.
Wold Football is ending their local leagues
This comes after some major leagues across the world had declared their log leaders as champions. French league 1 yesterday declared 12 points log leaders PSG as their 2019/2020 French League Champions.
