Kagiso Modupe made headlines in 2005 when he was introduced to South African TV screens playing the role of Mangaliso Nyathi. By the time he quit the show in 2018, he was the only original cast member on the drama series. Fans have been wondering what the actor has been up to after leaving Scandal. Where did Mangi from Scandal disappear to?

Kagiso Modupe has been active in the acting industry since 2005. The actor made his debut in the acting industry with his role as Mangi in Scandal. Mangi’s character was in a relationship with Dintle. His wife had an affair with his brother, Quinton, and they had a child together. His character was on Scandal for 13years before he finally quit the show.

During his years on Scandal, he landed other roles in films and series. In 2006 he was in The Good Fight as Red Jacket. He was also an executive producer. The other films he had roles in are Gog’ Helen, Step Up to a Start-Up, Unpredictable Romance. Kagiso also had roles in many drama series like Vula Vala, Home Affairs, Heartlines, to mention a few.

If you have been wondering what Kagiso Modupe has been up to since 2019, here is the gist. The seasoned actor got married to Liza Lopes, a film producer. The two have two daughters whom they both adore. In 2019 he and his wife funded the production of a blockbuster called Losing Lerato. Kagiso took the lead role of Thami, and their eldest daughter made her debut in the acting industry playing the role of Lerato.

The film was received positively all over the world. This led to the film receiving six awards at the Idyllwild International Festival of Cinema in California. Kagiso and his daughter Tshimollo received the Best actor Feature award and Best child performance award respectively. This year he is making an appearance on Television again with a role as Simo in Nqobile. Apart from acting, he has also written a book called Along Came Tsakani.
