Somizi Mhlongo’s world is crumbling as we know it. A few days after he was released from MetroFm, Multichoice has announced that the IdolsSA judge has been let go from the show.
The statement read: M-Net and Mr Somizi Mhlongo met to discuss his role on Idols in light of allegations made against him. We have reached a mutual agreement that Mr Mhlongo will take some time off to deal with his personal circumstances until this matter has been resolved
Viewers will still see MR mHlongo on their screen until Sunday, 22 August, as the audition shows were pre-recorded. However earlier, Somizi Mhlongo shared his side of the story in a long statement posted on his Instagram channel.
The estranged entertainer has been dragged into allegations levelled against him by his husband, Mohale. The allegations led to the DJ temporarily leaving his job at Metro FM.

However, it was recently reported that Somizi part ways with Metro FM. In the wake of daring allegations made by Mohale against Somizi, the SABC has officially parted ways with Somizi. However, in its official statement, the public broadcaster has it that, it has given media personality Somizi Mhlongo some time off.
The SABC has given the media personality Somizi Mhlongo some time off. This follows a weekend exposé that entailed allegations of abuse from estranged husband, Mohale Mhlongo. Somizi, who presents a weekday show on Metro FM, has apparently asked the public broadcaster for some time off to sort out his personal issues.

The statement that was published on their Twitter account said @METROFMSA management met with Somizi Mhlongo and he has requested to take some time off from work.
At this moment it’s not yet clear how long his break from the SABC will take as calls from Somizi to fall or be called gained momentum. Mohale tabled his abuse experience during an exclusive interview with a producer of Living With Somizi.
However, the public broadcaster issued out the long-awaited update. Taking it to Twitter SABC indicated the new development between the two parties in the wake of abuse allegations.
