Just In: Generations actress Sindi Buthelezi Dies
On 27 July social media was flooded with the sad news of the untimely death of Sindi Buthelezi. However, the late star actress is best known for her stellar performances on the old Generations.
No doubt her death comes as a shocker and Mzansi is finding it hard to come in terms of the loss. The 32-year-old was best known for her role as Zinhle Mathe, Chopper’s girlfriend on Generations.
Just like those before her who have made names in the acting industry she was thrust into the limelight through theatre acts. As sad as it might sound she is one of the few actresses who made a name for themselves without any educational background in acting.
Sindi has always had a passion for acting. She used to do plays in community halls to keep people entertained while also showing and honing her acting skills.
However, in the wake of the viral news which has since flooded social media Sindi’s older sister, Nonhlanhla Sikhakhane, confirmed the news. It was also established that a detailed family statement is set to be released today.

Well at this point in time little is known about the causes of her death. Details surrounding her death are still sketchy at the moment. The star actress was born and raised in Ratanda, East Rand. She made a name for herself when she wowed the community at a local community. A few years later she secured gigs that saw her making all sorts of headlines back then.
She played the role of Ntombi in the 12th season of SABC 1’s HIV/Aids drama Soul City in 2014. She also briefly portrayed a news reporter in Isibaya. In 2016, she appeared as Patience Khumalo in the E.TV serial Ashes to Ashes as a guest performer.
