The most talked-about show in Mzansi, Uyajola 9/9 on Moja Love, once again pushed the envelope in its most recent episode. The audience believes the show’s cast is breaking the law, though. Episodes from this Sunday’s evening show featured violent altercations, window breaking, and the Uyajola 9/9 Team breaking into people’s homes without permission.
Precious told the show’s host, Molemo “Jub Jub” Maarohayne, in the first episode that she thinks her boyfriend, Katlego, after viewing a video he posted online with another woman, is cheating. Jub Jub set out to investigate to see if her suspicions were correct with the help of his Uyajola 9/9 team. Concerns about the lengths the program went to track down Precious’ boyfriend were also voiced by viewers.
They tracked him with a drone, and when they finally caught up with him, they surrounded his car, leaving him with no way out. When Katlego refused to open the taxi doors, Jub Jub and the Uyajola 9/9 Security Team appeared to be encouraging Precious to smash the windows with a brick.
Precious lost her cool as she confronted her boyfriend and the other woman in a taxi in the middle of nowhere. As the side chick attempted to defend herself, Precious attacked her. She demanded an explanation from Katlego, and Precious attempted to assault him. Precious stopped hitting him when Katlego asked the Uyajola 9/9 security team to step in, but they did not help him—instead, they watched! Then, one of the crew members crammed himself inside the car to unlock the doors.
Twitter was flooded with complaints from viewers about Precious’ actions and the Uyajola9/9 cast’s handling of the altercation. Celebrities also put in their two cents about the violent episode. TV character Andile Ncube stated that the Uyajola 9/9 team would soon be served with legal documents.
“One day an intelligent lawyer will watch this show and reach out to the many unwilling participants who get restrained, held, and forced to stay put against [their] will by bodyguards.” “I’d be a fly on the wall to hear what the law would say,” he tweeted.
A different user added, “Jub Jub and his team are very irresponsible. How is what they are doing not seen as illegal? They block people from leaving; they condone the damaging of property, and to them, it is nothing; they do not care; they want the money. This is very sickening to watch; someone here thinks they are above the law.
