In December, Amanda du Point came out on her Instagram page to accuse Jub Jub of allegedly sexually assaulting her for two years while they were still in a relationship. This came after Jub Jub’s now-infamous interview on Podcast and Chill with MacG.
According to an article on Sowetan Live, Amanda says Jub Jub admitted raping her in 2017 when he was released from prison. The publication says that du Point submitted a statement two weeks ago at the Brixton police in Johannesburg. The report supports the case of rape she has opened against Maarohanye.
Amanda claimed that she met with Jub Jub in 2017 and asked him if he knew and acknowledged that he had raped her. Amanda then says Jub Jub admitted to this and said yes. She says on continuing to probe him, and she asked him why he did it, then all he could say was that he was sorry.
The police have said there had been no arrest made as yet. Amanda’s legal representative Mabu Marwe did confirm Amanda did open a criminal case of rape against Maarohanye.
“As you are aware, matters of this nature are in the hands of the police. We want to give the police some space to do proper investigations,” Amanda’s legal team said.
Jub Jub had released a statement apologizing for his utterances on the MacG show about Amanda, calling the use of his language regrettable and inappropriate.
Jub Jub also said that with regards to the allegations levels against him, he would like to allow for the law to take its course and that he wishes for the media to do the same.
The interview on MacG has seen Maarohanye making a lot of public apologies. As we all know that Jub Jub has had to apologize to the mother of his child Kelly Khumalo a few weeks ago on an instruction given by his bosses at Moja love fir saying she used Muthi.
Jub Jub was suspended from Moja Love and instructed Kelly to apologise or say goodbye to his show ” uYajola 99″. One of the most-watched shows on the channel and has since been taken off the air.
