Like our mothers used to, Lebogang Makenete served food traditionally to Big Zulu’s family at a welcome dinner, leaving Mzansi impressed. A few days ago, Imali Eningi had been trending after releasing his hit song 350 Bars, which was not enough. A few days later, he broke headlines after marrying his dear wife, Lebogang. Congratulations, our dear Big Zulu man is now a married man who can sit at the council of the elders.
After a long day of stressful negotiations in Soweto, Big Zulu finally got his wife home, and they celebrated. Taking a Makhoti home means that the goalposts have now changed. Tradition is that the ancient play where the groom’s sisters would playfully harass the new married bride will start as celebrations go on. Part of the welcome celebrations involve the Bride cooking and serving the whole family with her food before they spread in the morning. In doing so, Big Zulu’s family got their chance to harass the new daughter playfully and forced her to serve food traditionally, leaving Mzansi impressed.

Many brides would end the celebrations in tears as the playful harassment got rugged and tough. This is the traditional way of saying welcome, and Big Zulu’s family is good at it. Lebo cooked wonderful food that was good to see, but that was not enough as she almost served it on her feet. The ladies around noticed it immediately and forced her to serve food on her knees while breaking into laughs.
She looked troubled by the request, but she had to do it. Some family members joined the show as she succumbed to pressure and served her husband on her knees. Big Zulu smiled during the whole process as he wore his jacket before he sat down to be served. His wife served him as demanded by the family, and Big Zulu thanked his wife for a job well done.

Why does Big Zulu want to keep his life private?
Big Zulu has denied several attempts from different reporters to give more information on his personal life but all failed. He refused to comment on his Lobola rumours a few days ago and is happy with it. Indeed, Big Zulu is sure of the risks and dangers of being famous, and he doesn’t want his family and kids to live his life. He wants to start his family on neutral ground and allow them to choose their paths differently. If it means he will be the only family in the spotlight, then be it.
