Born Zenande Feziwe Mfenyane in 1985 in East Rand, Johannesburg, she knew she wanted to be an actress at a young age. Her family moved to Eastern Cape early in her life. She has a sister who is also an actress and made an appearance on The Queen. After finishing her matric, she attained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Drama.
Her debut Television role was in Generations as Noluntu Memela, Mawande Memela and MJ’s sister. In 2014 Zenande was fired from Generations because she was part of the cast that had a strike for better salaries. The cast members included Connie Ferguson, Sophie Ndaba and Nambitha Mpumlwana.
The following year she landed a role in Ashes to Ashes as Reba Namane alongside Menzi Ngubane. The following role was on Igazi as Babalwa. MTV Shuga had her appear briefly as Cynthia Vilakazi. Her next role was the leading role in The Queen as Goodness Mabuza. Her role was a bit similar to her Generations role in character traits. She left The Queen when she fell pregnant and came back later.

Prominent companies have also partnered with her in business. Geisha lotions made her the face of their brand, and she was on billboards in Kenya. After the birth of her baby, Pampers SA partnered with her as a brand ambassador of their products. Neutrogena, a skincare company, has a paid partnership with her too, and she posts advertisements of their products on her Instagram page.
