South African actress Phumzile Mlangeni debuted her role in Durban Gen as the loud nurse Madondo who came in as a patient who wouldn’t listen. Nurses then realized that Madondo had been trending on the internet for shouting at and fighting a patient, and she was also a nurse. On the day she was discharged, she shouted at the nurses for gossiping around while patients were waiting for treatment.

The superintendent of the hospital overhead her barking orders like it was second nature, and she handed Madondo the job of a Matron on the spot. As a Matron, she ran the nurses’ station like a tight ship and got things done until Nkabinde came back, and Madondo started spiralling out of control again, which got her fired and hence her exit from the medical drama series.

Last night, Phumzile Mlangeni debuted her role in Lingashoni, where she plays Gagashe’s aunt. Seipati was taken to KZN for her marriage ceremony on the previous night’s episode of Lingashoni, and the former Durban Gen actress was part of the welcome party.
