It is without a doubt that Thuso Mbedu is the woman of the moment as she is making an international career and living her best life. From receiving International awards for her role in Underground railroad to playing the lead in the International hit movie The woman King, the actress sure is reaping the fruits of her labour. Thuso shared on Instagram a picture of herself turning her head in an International designer Christian Dior’s outfit that cost R82 000.
After two years of waiting, the long-awaited movie The Woman King finally premiered on the 16th of September. The film was talked about before its production even began. People were interested and invested in the storyline set to empower women. The cast, led by American actress Viola Davis has been marketing the release of their movie on several public platforms and holding several interviews.
The Woman King film storyline
The movie follows a Kingdom from West Africa called Dahomey back in the 17th to the 19th century. It is set in the 1820s. It follows an all-women army unit led by Nanisca as their general. She teaches other young women to fight the enemies that would have invaded their kingdom. Thuso plays the role of Nawi, a young recruit in the warrior unit, and her role is also the lead role in the movie.
Thuso Mbedu’s Christian Dior outfit
For a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Thuso Mbedu rocked a top and skirt from the International label, Christian Dior. The top was a sleeveless short sweater mesh top that cost R32 000 on the market. The skirt was asymmetric and front Christian Dior, which cost R50 000. They were both brown and gave the Award-winning actress the stylish schoolgirl look.
For her hair, she changed her usual natural afro for a long weave that also costs thousands of rands supplied by Sharif Posting. Her make-up was done professionally by Shannon Pezzeta, and Wayman and Micah were her stylists. The two have styled international celebrities like Keke Palmer, Regina Hall, Mary J Blige and many more.
