South African actors Bonko Khoza and Lesego Chabedi celebrate their first marriage anniversary in style. Having wedded on 13 March 2021, the couple who has been a centre of attention in South Africa decided to spoil fans with an exquisite photoshoot. Lesego’s husband Bonko Khoza recently hogged the headlines and became an instant wonder for playing the role of Mqhele Zulu in the Showmax series The Wife.
In The Wife, Mqhele is the third born of the eight Zulu brothers, who met Hlomu, a journalist (Mbalenhle Mavimbela) at a taxi rank where he worked as a taxi driver. Before meeting Mqhele, Hlomu had previously met Qhawe (Kwenzo Ngcobo), Mqhele’s younger brother, who showed interest in her. Though Mqhele and Hlomu got married, the drama was yet from over. Qhawe believes Hlomu deserves better than his abusive brother and waited patiently for an opportunity to make a move on his new sister in law.
Hlomu gets pregnant with Qhawe’s child in the drama series, and Mqhele has his suspicion. Time will tell if the secret will remain buried forever or the brothers will be on each other’s throats for the child’s paternity.

While Mqhele is being portrayed as an abusive husband to Hlomu in The Wife, in real life, Bonko is charming and supportive to his wife, Lesego. The couple who has been married for a year has celebrated their first anniversary. The couple flaunted their anniversary pictures on social media and expressed how their marriage is rooted in God’s word.
