Londeka Mchunu is popularly known for playing the role of Zanele Zwide on etv Telenovela House of Zwide. She is one of the scriptwriters of House of Zwide and at the same time plays the role of Zanele, a daughter to fashion designer Funani Zwide –a role played by Vusi Kunene and Faith Zwide – Role played by Winnie Ntshaba.
On House of Zwide, Zanele is her father’s apple of eyes but dies for her mother’s approval. She is an Instagram guru who turned to be a great influencer for the family business. She is the Queen of fashion, and everyone wishes to dress like her.
Londeka is not new on our screens; she once played the role of Snegugu on Isithembiso. She landed the role on Isithembiso despite having no interest in acting and no training, proving that acting comes naturally to her. On Isithembiso, she played the role of a conniving student experiencing life in a big city.
In real life, Londeka Mchunu is the sister of former Uzalo actress Nelisa Mchunu who played the role of Fikile. She is the weave Queen, who always brings along her hair game on point.
Born in Msinga, Londeka Mchunu grew up in Clermont, a township in KwaZulu-Natal; she treasures her roots and mentions Msinga on every chance she gets.
At the age of six, she moved to Clermont and left her mother, a school teacher, behind in Msinga. She is a qualified Public Relations professional who studied for a Degree in Corporate Communications at Varsity College.
Being employed by the Bomb Shelter Production House, Londeka became their scriptwriter and wrote many House of Zwide episodes. In real life, Londeka never misses a chance to show off her hairdo; she earns her money through acting and scriptwriting.
