No doubt Mzansi entertainment industry has fast become one of the worlds finest. From music to small screens, South Africans have been making a mark on the international stage. However, despite the international stage bling, it’s interesting to note that some celebrated star actors have no acting educational background but are married to the academics of Telecommunications. No doubt he has been winning big of late. In 2021 he hogged the headlines when he bagged more than four on-screen characters from Imbewu: The Seed to Little Big Mouth. However, the celebrated actor is best known for his on-screen character of Dingane on The Queen.
However, apart from acting, he doubles as a musician and model. Of interest is that despite his unmatched talent and acting flair, the seasoned actor holds a degree in Information Technology, majoring in Programming and Software with the University of Pretoria.
The 32-year-old actor was born on 30 March 1989. However, despite starring in several gigs, he is best remembered for his Mxolisi character on Mzansi most-watched drama series Uzalo.

Patrick Seleka
Patrick Seleka is a celebrated South African actor best known for his on-screen character as Kat ‘Katlego Peterson.’ The bubbly actor joined Skeem Saam in 2011. However, despite being that favourite actor we all love to hate, it’s fascinating that the actor switched to Drama and Performing Arts just after graduating as an Information Degree holder to furnish his craze for acting.
Not so long ago, he hogged the headlines for the wrong reasons when he was poised with cancellation after admitting to gender-based abuse. In a now-deleted Instagram video, the actor revealed that he had a hand in his wife’s depression and breakdowns.
Samela Tyelbooi
No doubt she has fast become one of Mzansi’s finest actresses. Despite discovering her craze for acting whilst young, her breakthrough only came at the age of 25-years-old. Since then, she has been winning big. Currently, she is nailing her Ayanda on-screen character on Generations: The Legacy. The bubbly actress joined the second most-watched drama series in Mzansi in 2018.
Before, she had starred in several soapie operas, including Rhythm City, Society and Room 9. However, of interest is that the actress has no acting educational background but is an Information Systems Degree holder. The bubbly actress holds a BTech Degree in Information Technology from the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University.
