Here are the parents of South African celebrities you didn’t know about
Mr and Mrs Nombona
The couple has been married for 42 years, gave birth and raised Zola Nombona, the South African actress who currently plays Pamela on Generations The Legacy.
On Generations The Legacy, Pamela is an investigative journalist and wife of Siyanda Khoza. The two have marital problems, and their marriage seems to have reached a point of no return.
Zola is married to actor and movie director Thomas Gumede in real life, and the couple gave birth to one child Cebelihle Gumede. Zola is the last born in a family of 6, which comprises elder siblings Lwazi Nombona, Thando Nombona, Nolwazi Nombona, Luleka Nombona and Patiswa Nombona.
Mr Mdoda – Captain Awesome
Mr Mdoda gave birth to the triple celebrity children, Actress Thembisa Mdoda, Presenter Anele Mdoda and screenwriter Zamalisa Mdoda. Nicknamed Captain Awesome and Madiba due to facial similarities to the former President of South Africa Nelson Tata Mandela, Mr Mododa is an accomplished scholar and a university professor.

MaMthembu is mother to Dj /Radio Host/Presenter Junior De Rocka. De Rocka is famous for radio and TV presenting and is the baby daddy of actress Ntando Duma. Ma Mthembu stunned Mzansi by her young age stunning looks.
Mr and Mrs Motaung
The couple is parents to Actor and Presenter Mohale Motaung, who made headlines when he married media personality, choreographer and former Idols SA judge Somizi Mhlongo. Their marriage failed the test of time over abuse allegations levelled against his husband, allegations he vehemently denied.
