Lalela Mswane has been making headlines ever since winning the Miss South Africa 2021 title. In the few months that she has been crowned queen, the model has had many scandals. However, since she has faced a lot of backlashes in her reign so far, Lalela has also faced several wins. Today Miss South Africa organization took to Instagram to celebrate Lalela on her birthday, and fans noticed her age and got to talking.
Lalela Mswane took to her social media accounts to share that today was her birthday. The model who was partying up a storm last night at the Netflix Bridgerton Soiree put two posts up to celebrate her big day. Lalela is only 25 years old, but many of her fans and followers thought she was older because of the accomplishments she has received so far in her career. However, fans were shocked to learn of her age as they assumed she was older.
Mswane was born in KwaZulu Natal to Muntu Mswane and Hleliselwe. Her father was a minister and diplomat who died in 2010, while her mother was an accounts clerk. Despite pursuing a law degree in College, Lalela’s passion lay in modelling, and she followed that career. She finished as a first runner up in the Matric Experience pageant in 2015. After school, she signed up as an Alushi Model before trying for the Miss South Africa Title.

After gaining the title, Lalela Mswane had her dream of becoming Miss Universe almost cut short. The whole country was against her participating in the pageant, but that did not stop her. She never directly addressed the hate she was getting on social media because she did not boycott the event. She elegantly made announcements that she would be running and went on bringing home the second runner-up crown.
When it was announced that she was participating again in the Miss Supranational pageant, the backlash was too much. Lalela was attacked on social media and the Miss South Africa organization for not giving opportunities to other runner-ups. Lalela has been acting mature and not letting it affect her craft and dreams through all the trolling and hate.
