As their debut season in the top flight ends, Royal AM looks for a strong finish as they host Soweto giants Orlando Pirates at the Chatsworth Stadium. The presence of top management serves as extra motivation as the team chases African Champions League football in their first season in top-flight football. A win over Orlando Pirates will see Royal AM topple Cape Town City to the second place on the PSL standings behind champions Mamelodi Sundowns.
Shauwn Mkhize hogged the headlines during the season’s first games after she and her son Andile Mpisane stormed the pitch with envelopes full of money to pay winning bonuses live on television. She acknowledged the fulfilment of set objectives and applauded Royal AM coaches and players for the excellent season.
We’ve exceeded our expectations and are proud of our achievements thus far, but one thing about my boys, they will give it their all.
Great morning training with them, but now we look to tomorrow’s match and end things off the only way we know how to… with our best foot forward. – Shauwn Mkhize.
Will Mzansi have the privilege to see MaMkhize on the football pitch?
MaMkhize teased Mzansi for an epic PSL moment when she insinuated that she might play a few minutes against Orlando Pirates.
I kept up with the boys; who knows you might see me on the field of play next match

Royal AM coach John Maduka visibly enjoyed the presence of his paymaster and compared her endurance on the training ground with professional footballers and her ball control skills to Khama Billiat.
“It’s an honour to have MaMkhize around; her presence is an extra motivation to fight on the football pitch. She went through ¾ pace and, to my surprise, matched the speed of professional footballers; we also tested her ball control skills, and she matched a lot of PSL skilful stars. We are tempted to pay her in our final game”, he said with a smile.
