In Pictures: Imbewu: The Seed actress Fikile’s daughter’s age gets Mzansi talking
Actress Phindile Gwala is famous for playing the role of Nonny on SABC 2 drama series Muvhango. She left Muvhango to join Imbewu; The Seed, where she played the character of Fikile before being shown the exit door with the show producers for being difficult to work with.
On Imbewu, Fikile played the role of an IT Specialist who joined Maluju Oil and was involved in a love triangle with a married man Nkululeko. Their relationship was associated with drama, and it was later discovered that the two were siblings before their wedding day, which led to Fikile’s depression.
Despite her abrupt exit on Imbewu: The Seed, Phindile’s name commands respect for entertaining Mzansi along with the Muvhango storyline. She is one of the top actresses in the country who smashes any role given to them.
In real life, Phindile was born on 12 December 1986 in Eshowe, KwaZulu Natal and married to 33 year old Congolese, South Africa based model Armando Ngandu. Often caught in the Afrophobic comments of speaking against foreign nationals in South Africa, she fights tooth and nail and claps back social media trolls from attacking her for marrying a Congolese.

Phindile Gwala, daughter Thato, the stylist
She is a mother to 15-year-old daughter Thato Ngibongiseni Gwala from her first marriage; she flaunts her daughter on social media. The age difference of 18 years between mother and daughter stuns Mzansi.
Due to her keen fashion sense at a young age, Thato became Phindile’s stylist and often charged her mother for rendered services.
Recently Phindile complained about how her daughter charges for almost everything; in retaliation, she contemplates charging her rental and food.
Dear Parents, especially mothers, is it okay to carry someone with your only body for nine months, give birth to them, raise them etc. And when they start their businesses, they charge you?🤭 My daughter cleans sneakers, and she charges me (why? 🙄).
