In Pictures: Gomora’s best family’s Bongani step challenge leaves Mzansi in laughter ft Sbosh, Teddy and Zodwa.
Zodwa’s family in Gomora is one of the Mzansi’s favourite onscreen families due to their comic personalities and, at times, ignorant characters. United onscreen, the family shows ultimate unity off-screen by attending milestone events and competing in online challenges.
Recently the family members, including Zodwa (Sana Mchunu), Bongani (Thulani Mtsweni), Teddy (Sicelo Buthelezi) and Sbosh (Nandipa Khubone), competed in the Bongani step challenge.
Bongani Step challenge
In the Bongani Step challenge, participants pose in stride, with the other leg stretched forward and the other leg will be stretched backwards. Introduced by actor Thulani Mtsweni, famous for playing Bongani in Mzansi Magic telenovela, Gomora, the Bongani step challenge took Mzansi by storm. The challenge has led to the birth of many memes widely shared on social media.
Various ordinary South Africans, celebrities and Gomora production crew members took part in the step challenge.
Mzozozo family in Gomora
In Gomora, Bongani cohabitates with Zodwa and sees his dream of moving his new family to Sandton vanish in thin air after Zoliswa conned him dry. He has been struggling to make ends meet ever since losing his job as the manager of a local Shisanyama. To provide for his family and met his baby mama’s never-ending demands, Bongani took odd jobs to make ends meet.
On the other hand, Zodwa has been trying to stay off alcohol, but life problems and the pressure of family problems always push her towards the diabolic bottle. Battles between Zodwa and her stepdaughter Sbosh seem to be far from over; the pair is always on each other’s throats. Sbosh pushed Zodwa back into alcoholism after she realized that Zodwa ended her father Don Buthelezi’s life. Zodwa always feels disrespected by her stepdaughter’s actions and feels the need to call her to order.
Teddy failed to get enough Matric pass marks to proceed with education; he does odd jobs to contribute toward family needs. He recently signed his soul to the devil after accepting Qhoqhoqho’s money to get a fake driver’s licence.
