To many fans’ surprise, Gomora actress ‘Mam Sonto’ Connie Chiume received wonderful presents from Netflix, which impressed many fans. It’s been a long career for Sonto, dating back to the early days of apartheid when she started her career. Since then, she had been a wonder to watch on our small screens. She has been featured in many drama series, films and movies. Over the years, Connie saw many young stars rising and falling while she remained at the top. She even nurtured many stars throughout her career, and many look up to her.
Thank God Connie lived this long to realise her greatness at seventy-years-old. To show for all her success and talent, Connie received two-lifetime Awards Achievements. Not many actors in Mzansi have managed to have a career as long as Connie’s, and some were even more talented. Connie is still kicking, and she is probably producing her best performances ever on Gomora. She showed that she was maturing like fine wine when she starred in Black Panther. There she had a performance that made her famous throughout the whole world. In appreciation, Netflix decided to send her beautiful presents as a congratulatory gesture for her success.

Netflix South Africa had not yet congratulated Connie for her SAFTAS win. Indeed, she still accepts gifts and is more than grateful. Many companies and fellow celebs congratulated her and sent her presents earlier when she won. Netflix and others are still sending through, and Connie can’t get out of the celebration mood.
Netflix South Africa sent her glasses of wine and juices, which made her so happy. top of that, they sent her a letter with a quote from Kanye West, Jeen Yuhs that said;
Everybody wants to know what l would do if l didn’t win; we will never know.
They continued giving her congratulatory messages saying
Congratulations on your SAFTAS win! You are worthy; You are deserving; you are seen.
Sharing her Instagram status, Gomora star Connie Chiume thanked the Netflix team for saying it was such a beautiful present.
