Actor Israel Matseke Zulu famous for playing the role of Don Buthelezi on Mzansi Magic soapie opera Gomora, has released images of his amputated leg. Israel Matseke Zulu pleaded with Gomora scriptwriters to be written off the Gomora storyline after suffering from an aggressive gangrene foot rot condition which left him unable to walk.
Don’s exit from Gomora raised speculations about salary disputes; the air was cleared after the actor’s management issued a statement and revealed a mutual agreement before contract termination. He, however, expressed the desire to continue working with Seriti Films on Gomora production as a site scout, a position he held before appearing onscreen.

Don on Gomora
The seasoned actor Israel Matseke Zulu debuted on Gomora as returning and homeless Zodwa’s ex-husband, who dumped her for a rich woman. He returned to Gomora with his child Sibongile and found refugee in Zodwa’s household, where he became desperate to connect with his son Teddy who he left with Zodwa at a young age.
Don took over MaSonto’s car hijacking business recruited Ntokozo to settle down a score with his old friend Melusi Dlamini, Ntokozo’s father. He suffered his demise at the hands-on Zodwa, who pulled the trigger to save kidnapped Ntokozo. Matseke Zulu’s Gomora exit left fans pleading for his return, giving producers a fresh headache of rewriting him in the storyline again.
According to close sources to the production, an epic return of Don is expected in the Gomora season 4 premiere episode.
