Gomora actor Brains is related to former Generations The Legacy actress Zitha ‘Zoe Mthiyane.’
Sokhulu Mthiyane plays the role of Brains on Mzansi Magic telenovela Gomora and police commissioner on Showmax drama series The Wife. His acting career has been on the rise since making a debut on Gomora as an extra and managed to play along the storyline line, landing him acting deals along the way. The Mthiyane’s are not strangers to television and filming, Mzansi pointed out at former Generations The Legacy actress Zoe Mthiyane who played Zitha Langa on the SABC 1 soapie. Is Brains on Gomora and Zitha from Generations related?
On Gomora, the Brains character is a low life thug who thrives on theft and intimidation; he works hand in hand with his partner in crime, Sdumo (Siyabonga Zubane). The two musketeers terrorized Gomora and had their services available to the highest bidder. They worked for Don Buthelezi in his car hijacking operations and once used to threaten his family in a bid to fend off Bongani, a love competitor.
The arrival of Phumlani in Gomora saw the pair sponsored to terrorize Gomora High School girls and ordeal which caused a lot of fear within the community. However, things did not go according to the plans as Brains and Sdumo ended up in hospital fighting for their lives. On The Wife, Sokhulu Mthiyane places the role of a powerful and corrupt police commissioner who had a mixed relationship with the Zulu brothers. Bailing out the brothers for financial benefit, the commissioner ended up hunting the Zulu boys a was shot dead by Sambulo.
Is Brains on Gomora and Zitha from Generations related?
When asked about her relationship with actress Zoe Mthiyane, Sokhulu revealed that he has a lot of respect for her craft and what she has achieved in the acting industry.
