The award-winning DJ was born on November 15, 1987, in Soshanguve, Tshwane, South Africa. However, growing up, it wasn’t all rosy. The DJ has a rag to riches story to tell.
Despite being one of the most celebrated star sensations in Mzansi, the DJ grew up in tough times. His High School side hustle saw him trending after viral pictures of in school uniforms flooded social media.

He made a name for himself whilst he was still part of Uhuru. He featured in Mafikizolo’s 2013 smash hit, Khona, and the DJ was a co-producer on the track. The group is also known for several other chart-topping songs, including Y-Tjukutja and The Sound with Nigerian superstar Davido.
The group also worked with Oskido, Kwesta, Professor, and DJ Buckz. It was his 2016 One Dance ft, and Wizkid and Kayla put him on the international map. No doubt, through this prolific career, the singer has managed to amass wealth in his spanning career.
A few days ago, he saw himself trending after he spent a whopping R1.5 million on wristwatches. He is not camera-shy, and he hasn’t been so secretive about his soft life. DJ Maphorisa has an estimated net worth of R3.5 million, and he has acquired much of his wealth through gigs and producing smash hits for International artists.
The DJ owns a lavish mansion in Midrand Johannesburg. Apart from his elegant mansion, he has an exotic fleet that includes a Mercedes Benz AMG C63 worth over R1 million and a BMW M4 whip worth R1.5m. However, apart from these expensive rides, he’s fav is a VW POLO.
