DJ Sbu recent viral snaps gets Mzansi talking
DJ Sbu is causing quite a stir on social media after he appeared hugging a tree and advising people to start connecting with nature. DJ Sbu, as we know, is an entrepreneur and a powerful businessman. Born Sbusiso Leope began as a DJ in the 90s on the youth radio station YFM.
He continued to invent himself as a powerhouse and created some of the most entertaining music known to us today. DJ Sbu owned a record company called TS records and produced some of the most renowned artists in the country like Zahara, Mzekezeke and Brown Dash, to name a few.
DJ Sbu also runs a radio station called massive radio, where he also works as a DJ. DJ Sbu opened up his Twitter page for people to post they are small businesses to get recognition.
A few days ago, DJ Sbu took to his TiK ToK page and started telling people to connect with the nature around them. He was seen hugging a tree and walking barefoot and said people must activate their pineal gland in the brain. He mentioned that the gland, also known as the third eye, makes people more intelligent.

People started advising Sbu to reach out if there’s anything he needs because if he is depressed, he will need intervention. Some went to dig old pictures of DJ Sbu and compared them to how he’s looking now. Some started wondering and worrying if DJ Sbu was not indirectly asking for help. We all know that recently we lost an icon in the South African entertainment industry in Patrick Shai. He suddenly went on Twitter to challenge Cassper Nyovest and commit suicide. Many people thought that was a call for help.
Most people also wondered if he hadn’t received a spiritual calling just like most celebrities, who have also been going through that recently. And yet some wondered if this is not a publicity stunt or a marketing strategy because he’s releasing a new song on Friday called Maruapula. This could be a clever way to create hype around the new music. Only time will tell what’s going on, but we are here for all of it.
