Durban Gen has been opening its doors to many actors in the South African entertainment industry over the past months. With the series introducing new and exciting storylines frequently, several actors join and leave the show regularly. Umkhokha actress Deli Malinga and Magic Hlatshwayo from The Queen will join the Durban Gen cast.
The two veteran actors’ familiar faces on our screens will join the cast of Durban Gen. The two are set to start appearing in April on our screens. According to entertainment news blogger Phil Mpela in a post he made on Twitter Deli Malinga and Magic Hlatshwayo have landed roles on the Stained Glass productions. Still, their parts are not yet made public knowledge.
In his comment section, fans and followers applauded the medical drama series to give opportunities to new actors and those already in the industry. One Twitter user, in particular, said that:
Durban Gen is playing a huge part in job creation. Mr Magic Hlatshwayo surely has a very handsome retirement package waiting for him after the career he had, he always get gigs even at his senior age.

About Deli Malinga
Many fans know her as the villain Mamzobe who terrorised her children to get the church in Umkhokha. After she did justice to that role in the first season of Umkhokha, she has found herself landing several jobs on screen. She appeared in valentine’s movie Welcome to the family and the Kagiso Modupe movie Thando.
The actress has had an extensive acting career in the industry since 1989. Her role in Generations as Sarah Ngcobo made her a household name. She was also cast in Rhythm City as Suffocate’s aunt, who convinced him that polygamy was the way to solve his problems. Deli later had roles in Isibaya, Lingashoni, Imbewu: The Seed and The Queen, to only mention a few.
About Magic Hlatshwayo
The actor known for his role in The Queen has an acting career as vast as most veteran actors. He recently made an appearance in The Wife, playing the part of the Chief in Mbuba village.The actor has been in a number of series like Nqobile, Gaz’lam, Skeem Saam and Kelebone.
Besides acting, Magic also doubles up as a director, and he has worked as one on Muvhango. The man is a Pastor and a family man with a wife and six children in his real life. In his downtime, Magic plays Rugby, and he loves the sport.
