In Pictures: Actor Ayanda Daweti dumps Scandal! for Gomora
Ayanda Daweti has been gracing our screens as Chumani Langa on Scandal!. He has been top-notching in his role on Scandal from 2019 to early this year. His role as Chumani was his first acting role, but one could not tell due to his unmatched acting skills. However, the actor is dumping Scandal for greener pastures on Gomora.
Rumour mill has it that his role in Scandal was becoming irrelevant, and as a result, he wasn’t being paid much. He was once a lead cast when his sister Xolile Langa was still part of Scandal. His role was controversial as he tried to save his sister Xolile from her abusive, gangster husband while at the same time managing the family business which he had inherited from his father.
Ayanda Daweti dumps Scandal! for Gomora
The storyline of Scandal! then made a turnaround, and his role was becoming unconnected to the drama series as all his family members had exited the show. First was his father, who was killed in the show, following his sister Xolile who had just disappeared lastly, his mother, who was kidnapped and was later killed. After his role became irrelevant, Ayanda recently dumped Scandal! after bagging a new gig on Gomora.

He made his first debut on Gomora during its second season. He was introduced as Gugu’s long time lover, Sizwe, who is just a devil dressed in sheep clothing. After being introduced in season two, he made a sudden disappearance leaving his legion of fans disappointed.
In season three, Gomora has been serving Mzansi with some fireworks, and Ayanda made his come back as one of Qhoqhoqho’s hits man. His girlfriend Gugu is kidnapped by Qhoqhoqho, and Sizwe tries to save her in exchange for Tshiamo. His role on Gomora is making flames making fans not skip an episode.
