When February started, Thando Thabethe’s Thabootys announced a Valentine function that they would be hosting for their customers at their Dainfern Square Thabooty shop. On the lineup were live performances from celebrity entertainers like Dbn Gogo. Thando Thabethe herself met and mingled with her fans and customers, and prizes were to be won. The function took place on Saturday the 12th of February at Dainfern Square. Precious, the planner, ensured that the set-up and decorations were on point at the party. There were speeches from several people, including Thando Thabethe, the founder. She walked people through how she came up with the idea to launch the Thabootys brand of lingerie. After that, they also had a question and answer session where people won prizes.
Several famous faces graced the event that turned out to be a success. Nomuzi ‘Moozlie’ Mabena was part of the esteemed guests at the party. Refilwe and Candice Modiselle were present at the party as the Selle jewellery brand that Candice owns supported the Toast to you event. Thando had massive support from her family and friends; her sister was also spotted at the event.

The Thabooty lingerie brand was launched five years ago. The entertainer said, it was set to change the way women look at underwear forever. She wanted a brand of lingerie and sleepwear for women of all shapes and sizes to make them feel sexy and practical enough to be comfortable.
The Thabootys, after years of being an online store, opened its first physical store in June 2021 at Dainfern Square, which is located north of Johannesburg. This has made Thando join the list of many South African celebrities with stores like DJ Zinhle, Cassper Nyovest, Theo Baloyi and Leikau Sehoana.
