The actress has always had a love for the entertainment industry growing up. She started her career in Los Angeles as a casting director. Lunathi Mampofu ‘Emma’ from The River‘s business empire is growing in many aspects.
Her older twin brothers had a significant influence on her career choice too. She has two older brothers in the entertainment industry Oros and Prince Mampofu, who are doing excellently. She wished that journalists would tail her too like they did her brothers trying to profile their work, which ended up throwing her into acting.
In school, she entered competitions, and the media started giving her attention. She then moved to America, where she lived in New York, California and Los Angeles, where she got cast in movies like Rising Light, Mercy, Shack Attack and Umthandazo.
Apart from her roles in movies, she also took part in theatre productions upon her return to Mzansi. The soapville also wanted to work with her. She landed roles in The Queen as Benni, Unmarried, Kings of Joburg, Isikizi, Ingozi and Ambitions only but to mention a few.

She also doubles up as a singer. Lunathi used to sing some gospel songs and songs for the opera. She is also a talented fashion designer, and she designs some of the clothes that she wears herself. Her fashion sense is casual and also a bit traditional. She has landed advertising gigs with clients such as Glen Tea and Discovery Insurance and appeared in their TV commercials.
The actress, a fitness freak, launched defence classes for women to learn how to defend themselves in the face of danger. She says the gym is her second favourite place after the kitchen, and her classes are called My defence, and she takes that passion seriously.
