An Army truck involved in managing the #lockdownzim was involved in a fatal crush about 49km from Kariba on its way to Harare. One soldier lost his life while 24 others were injured. The injured were rushed to Kariba District Hospital.
As the extended lockdown gets in its final week, the government expressed its worry about urban to rural movements hence increased the patrol of the army to monitor and enforce lockdown regulations.
The accident which claimed one ZNA member came barely two days after the First Lady’s security team vehicle crushed claiming one life on their way to donate basic goods to the vulnerable of Mzarabani.

Fix the roads. Put lines on them. Put speed signs that are clearly marked. Have genuine police on the road making sure people don’t speed and aren’t looking for a bribe. It’s not hard. Discipline guys. All it takes. – @calema56
