Nozimangaliso’s celebration continued, and Zithulele got jealous when he saw Nkululeko and Nokuzola talking. He didn’t know they discussed their daughter, whom he thinks is his. Zithulele gave him a stern warning to leave Nokuzola alone, and he agreed.
In the Rampasad home, Mira consulted Thu about her parent’s lie about their wedding date. He said she was clutching on straws, but she’s hell-bent on finding out why.
Back in the Rampasad mansion, Mira looked through various old photos and documents. She struggled to figure out why her mom lied about their wedding date. She asked Nirupa the date, and she still lied.
Thandeka fished for compliments in the Bhengu home but, she only got it from Nokuzola.
Nirupa vented to Thu that she couldn’t cope with Mira’s doing. She also told him that she has no support structure since Menzi and Nokubonga are no longer in her life.
They have different opinions on the matter. Zithulele suggested a press conference to Zakithi, but she pushed for a media briefing. Zakithi was given the file left by Sifiso on the previous episode, but she ignored it.
Mira visited Maharaj in prison, and to her disappointment, he refused to speak about Nirupa in her absence. He said that if Mira wanted him to talk, she should bring Nirupa to the table.
During the Shongololo Oil press conference, the journalists ripped Zithulele to shreds. As he struggled to give them all answers, a mob came to protest, reciting poetry with emotive words.
Sifiso came to Zithulele’s rescue by changing the narrative of the protesters. They threw a dead fish at Zithulele, and Sifiso asked them if they killed an innocent fish to enhance their protest. Journalists turned to the mob, which constituted an environmental activist.
Mira revealed that she found out her parents lied about their wedding date. When Maharaj heard that from her, he started singing a different tune, he asked Mira to bring more facts then they’ll talk. He also removed the condition where he said he’ll only talk about the past in Nirupa’s presence.
