Former Gomora scriptwriter Chris Radebe is topping the trends after certifying Thembi Seete as a star he adores. The award-winning writer posted a clip of Thembi Seete slaying the character of Gladys on Gomora, and he captioned the video with a long heartfelt message. He complimented Thembi as one of the multi-talented actresses in Mzansi with the ability to nail every character she is given to portray.
Chris Radebe was the Head Writer of the Mzansi Magic telenovela Gomora, and he did justice to the show during his reign. However, he later ditched the show to furnish his script for Isfiso. Confirmed reports have it that his role was replaced by Chisanga Kabinga, who has changed the storyline of MaSonto from a crime lord to a soft MaSonto. Although Radebe parted ways with Gomora, he still has a good relationship with the cast members, and he took to Instagram to praise Thembi and give her flowers while she is still alive.
Scriptwriter Chris Radebe certifies Thembi Seete as a star
Shortly before I left Gomora, I went to the studio to work at night. I arrive just as the actors are leaving. Thembi and sis’ Sannah walk towards me, and I ask to have a word with the former, in private. Ever so polite, sis’ Sannah steps away with no questions asked.
“Do you know how amazing you are?”
Thembi just blushes and says: “Stop it.”
But I wasn’t going to stop. See, it took forever for us, the public, to finally see her as an actress. For a long time, she was just an entertainer, whether it was singing, dancing or presenting.
Then Gomora came and Thembi transformed right before our very eyes. What you have done with Gladys… I have no words.
But @thembiseete_ I meant every last word. You are a star and I just adore you
In the telenovela, Gomora Thembi Seete plays the character of Gladys, a social worker and a generous woman who helps the less privileged people in the community of Gomora. Gladys is a divorcee to Melusi Dhlamini and mother to the troublesome son Ntokozo.
After settling her divorce with Melusi, Gladys lived a lonely life until she found love in the arms of the new Gomora high principal Mr Cele who treated her like a queen. Thembi Seete portrayed her character to perfection, which resulted in her being nominated as the best soapie actress at the Dstv Viewers Choice Awards. Although she lost the award to her fellow actress Sannah Mchunu, the actress was happy that her talent was noticed.
