‘I did not moer Nadia’ AKA rubbishes assault rumours, sues publication for defamation
South African rappers Kiernan Forbes and Nadi Kandava, popularly known as AKA and Nadia Nakai, have been hogging the headlines this week. The famous couple who recently came out that they were dating has been rumoured to have broken up. However, the two have finally broken their silence and addressed the gossipville with a formal statement to the press.
According to the gossipville, the two while in Ghana for their shows had allegedly broken up. An Instagram blogger said that the female rapper’s friend had come forward and said AKA had physically assaulted Nadia in the wake of the break-up rumour. However, in the wake of all the news, the world has woken up to a formal statement from the lovebirds.
In their statements, AKA and Nadia state no physical or verbal fight happened between them in Ghana. They both were in Ghana on separate work engagements in which they succeeded. They state that they are okay and that there is no drama between them as they celebrate their success in Ghana. However, for AKA, the fight is just getting started as he has slapped a publication with defamatory charges.
AKA and Nadia Nakai slap Daily Sun with a lawsuit
The couple has also slapped Daily Sun with a lawsuit because of the story they wrote with the heading ‘AKA moered Nadia Nakai. The report written by one Mr Quincy Mahlangu was called false and defamatory to the rapper. The rapper demands R800 000 in damages and a retraction by 4pm today the 20th of April 2022. They go on further to demand a public apology from the publication.
In the wake of the news, fans have divided opinions. Some are of the mind that more publications should be sued. However, others say that this headline is not good for Nadia’s brand.
