Hungani Ndlovu’s exit from Scandal took Mzansi by surprise and many are still connecting the dots in regards to his exit. The celebrated Hungani Ndlovu who plays Romeo Medupe on etv’s hit soapie Scandal shocked everyone with his resignation. No doubt that Romeo was one of the most followed star actors on the hit soapie.
The celebrated actor’s exit has left Mzansi divided. Rumor has it that his exit comes in the backdrop of a fallout with the production team.
Ndlovu is yet to address the rumor. However, Ndlovu also felt that he was being targeted by some people in the production, and he just wanted to make things easy for them by resigning from the soapie.
Moreover, for late Ndlovu, felt unappreciated at Scandal despite being the star actor bringing in numbers. It’s not the first time for Scandal to be caught off guard by shocking resignations.

Back then in August Romeo was rumored to be exiting Scandal but it didn’t materialize till now. Romeo Medupe is the latest victim to fall prey to the Scandal chopping block. Scandal’s marketing manager Makatseng Mokomoe confirmed Ndlovu resigned from the soapie. Romeo had somehow risen to be a mastermind planner and schemer in Scandal.
The other rumor has it that Hungani Ndlovu exit comes in the backdrop of a Blackish offer call. Kenya Barris who is one of the creators of Black-ish confirmed their desire to work with Ndlovu. The celebrated star Barris said that he will be contacting Ndlovu soon with the offer and hoped he would pick up the phone.
Before the shocking exit of Romeo Scandal has lost a number of their leading actors this year. Kgomotso Christopher played the role of Yvonne, she left Scandal early this year even though it was announced her leaving was temporary, she never returned and has been seen pushing other gigs out of Scandal including The Legacy.
Kgomotso was chopped off from the show when fans were falling in love with her because of her storyline and bond with young Tebello. The star actress has been part of Scandal’s cast for four years.
Themebeka Shezi also left Scandal under unclear circumstances. Thembeka Shezi made a return to Scandal only to be killed again after a few short months. Rumor has it that she once had an off-screen alteration with Hungani Ndlovu and that led to her exit. Shezi rubbished the claims though.
