All students who have registered on the platform will see their results released either through USSD or through SMS on the 23rd of February 2021.
To enable learners to see or receive their results, they are encouraged to register with the SABC Matric Results Service.

• SMS your exam number to 45856
• The system verifies the exam number; your exam number must be correct in order to be accepted.
• Learners will be charged R1-50 per SMS, free SMS’s do not apply when registering for Matric Results
How to view Matric Results by USSD
• Dial *120*45856#, after the first prompt, enter the exam number to register
• You will be charged R1-50 per minute for the request
• Results will be sent to your phone once they are available

• Download for free Matricsmate from Google Play STore or Alternatively the Apple App Store and Install on your phone.
For queries that need explaining, learners should contact the service on this number, 011 507 4630. The contact centre will be open from Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm.
The contact centre will be open until midnight on the day of the release of results.
The embargo on the publication of Matric results:
The 2020 National Senior Certificate (NSC) examination results will be made available to the media houses and Service Providers on Monday, 22 February 2021, at 7 am and will subsequently be released at the different schools at 8 am on Tuesday, 23 February 2021
The publication of results will be embargoed until 06:00 on Tuesday, 23 February 2021 for all PEDs results, except in the Western Cape province
The Western Cape province data will be released to the media houses and Service Providers on Tuesday, 23 February 2021 at 12 pm.
