Dr Nandipha Magudumana’s academic qualifications have left South Africans with mixed feelings. While some praise her for her achievements, others are disappointed that she has not fully used her potential. In an interview with Podcast and Chill with MacG, Dr Nandipha detailed her academic journey and spoke at length about becoming a Medical Doctor. Many fans were shocked to learn that simply obtaining a degree is not enough to be called a doctor. Dr Nandipha went above and beyond in her education, obtaining three degrees in seven years.
She obtained her first degree, a BHSc in Biomedical Sciences, from the University of the Witwatersrand. After that, she later enrolled for a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBCh) from the same University. With an MBBCh, she graduated with two degrees, bringing her total to three.
During the interview with MacG, Dr Nandipha also spoke about her first salary. Many people were shocked when she revealed that it was about R30K. She went on to share her experience of working for years without receiving a salary.
