The High Court of Zimbabwe has dismissed an application by Zimbabwe’s largest opposition party MDC Alliance to take back the Harvest House from the minority MDC-T party.
The MDC Alliance is fighting to reclaim their headquarters after the MDC-T occupied MRT House with the assistance of police and the army. Zimbabwe Supreme court handed a controversial ruling in March that directed the MDC-T to revert to its 2014 structures. The ruling which is believed to have been crafted by the ruling party Zanu PF dismantled the MDC Alliance, a party that broke away from the MDC-T after power struggle between Nelson Chamisa and Thokozani Khupe.

The MDC-T engaged the services of the police through a letter and footage of army personnel at the Harvest House was circulated on social media during the night over the take over. The take over of the opposition headquarters was widely condemned by the international community.
