The Sports and Recreation Commission (SRC) has authorised certain sports disciplines during the lockdown. The disciplines include golf, swimming, riding, cricket, angling, polo, athletics, shooting, fishing, rowing and tennis.
The Zimbabwe Golf Association has been asked to submit a list of all golf courses that will be in use during the lockdown. The timelines for golfers will be reset. Golfers will be required to carry their kits as no caddies or accompanying family members will be allowed on the golf course.
With regards to swimming, only four people will be required in lane at one time and a maximum of 32 people will allowed to use a pool. The levels of chlorine should be at the required standards.
The Triathlon association of Zimbabwe has been allowed to resume their activities but should avoid riding or running slip field.
Fishing has been allowed provided there is no inter provincial travel. The Polo Association of Zimbabwe we had their application approved.
As for athletics during lockdown, all track events have been approved. No relays and field events are allowed.
The Zimbabwe Shooting Federation are allowed to perform their competitions given they only perform outdoors.
Tennis has been approved only if balls are kept on site and are sanitised before use.
