Uzalo has shared more information on their new addition Ronald Mkwanazi, and he is very accomplished as an actor.
Let’s Zoom in a little more on Bab’ Nsimbi from Uzalo. Ronald joined the drama last week, and he is one of Vika’s sidekicks. He is an interesting character because he calls Vika out on his impulsive behaviour.
Mkwanazi might be a new character on Uzalo, but the man is a veteran in the industry from what the series has shared about him.
Ronald has spent many of his years pursuing acting across the seas. He has worked in several Theatre and TV productions in Europe.
Ronald left the country in the ’80s to go abroad and was there from 1988 to 2010. He started to do theatre work in the late ’70s.
Mkwanazi started touring the UK from (1983 to 1988). He then moved to Germany from (1988-to 2010) when he decided to come back to South Africa.
Ronald has worked with great names in South African Theater, like the legendary Gibson Kente.
When he was in Europe, he worked on several projects in Germany; some of the production work he featured in is The Stoning. The story is about a young woman who converts to the Islamic religion after following he love to Iran who gets Raped and is sentenced to death by stoning. Ronald plays Ali in that story.
Other productions he featured in are Neadental, Die Wache, Lindenstrasse, Kalte Sonne.
Ronald is also featured in The Agent and Schucks! Payback the money in 2015. Schucks is a comedy created by Leon Schuster. Ronald plays the judge in the story, and he shares screen time with Desmond Dube and Leon Schuster.
Uzalo introduced Ronald to us through Vikizitha’s storyline, where he comes in as the older, wiser man who will help Vika execute the Magwaza family plans properly. Vikizitha is very impulsive and uncontrollable.
Uzalo has shared their excitement on their social media pages about this great actor joining them, and their followers also feel the same.
The veteran actor currently lives in Katlehong in the East of Johannesburg. He is 63 years old.
