Bubly actress Gugu ‘Velile Makhoba’ bade farewell to Gomora playing a Burna Boy’s hit song Last last. Gugu joined Gomora about seven months ago at Phumlani ‘Buyile Mdladla’ and Thathi ‘Katledgo Dankie’ wedding. On Gomora, Gugu nailed her role as Phumlani’s daughter, who stayed with Mam Sonto ‘Connie Chiume’ after his father’s death. Gugu became a fan favourite thanks to the incredible talent she showed Mzansi, especially as a Gomora High student.
To show for the fantastic work and talent Gugu showed on Gomora, a fan had to write a farewell to Gugu emotionally. Despite being silent on the issue, Gugu finally confirmed her departure from Gomora as she shared the farewell message on her Instagram story. As sweet as Gugu had been on Gomora, she had left and did so in tears. Velile is out of words as she only attached love and gratitude emojis to the video, but Burna boy’s last lyrics did her the job.

Undoubtedly, Gugubrought positive vibes to Gomora on and off the screen, and she won fans’ hearts despite staying less than nine years. She was one of the best dancers among the cast, alongside Teddy ‘Sicelo Buthelezi’ and Tiny ‘Stella Dlangalala. On the show, she was impressed as she formed a strong relationship with Sibongile ‘Nandipa Khubone’ and Tshiamo ‘Lerato Mokoka’.
Bad news arrived that Gugu could no longer stay with Mam Sonto, her end to Gomora. On her day leaving for KZN, emotions took over, and it was all tears for the Mofele family. Sibongile came to wish her a safe journey and Sizwe ‘Amanda Daweti’ brought a lunchbox to eat on her way. It looked so clear that Gugu wasn’t returning, and she confirmed it.
