George Floyd: Black man dies after white police officers pin him to ground: Video
Four Minneapolis police officers were fired after the death of George Floyd, who died after being pinned down by a white officer.
A Black man who yelled “I cannot breathe” as a white Minneapolis police officer pinned him down with his knee in the US state of Minnesota died late on Monday, police confirmed, drawing outrage from community members and leaders, and leading to the officers’ termination.
Video of the incident shows the police officer pinning down George Floyd, believed to be in his 40s, to the pavement with his knee on the man’s neck for several minutes.
Our hearts ache. Our heads ache. Our souls ache. Our backs ache from the weight of constantly carrying this heavy load. The unyielding weight of injustice is nothing that one person or group should carry alone. #GoodPeople #SpeakUp #StandUp #GeorgeFloyd https://t.co/DBizeeOIv8

Floyd can be heard saying in the video: “Please, please, I cannot breathe.”
The officer tells Floyd to “relax”.
Floyd responds: “I can’t breathe. Please, the knee in my neck.”
The officer continues to hold down George Floyd with his knee for several minutes, with Floyd pleading and asking for water.
“My stomach hurts. My neck hurts. Please, please. I can’t breathe,” Floyd cries out, while moaning and trying to cough.
George Floyd eventually appears motionless under the officer’s knee.
Those who were watching the incident unfold can be heard begging police to move off Floyd.
“He’s not f****** moving,” an onlooker can be heard saying. “Get off of his f****** neck.”
It is unclear what happened before and after the video was taken.

If we see something like this, shouldn’t we as citizens intervene? These “police” are obviously not protecting the peace. On the contrary, they are committing murder in broad daylight and traumatizing our collective souls– George Floyd
How the hell’s this anything but flat out murder? I don’t give a damn what he did/didn’t do that made the cops feel justified in arresting him-there’s absolutely NO justification4killing him! Let’s face facts-what else did they think they were doing by cutting off his air supply?
I’d like to know what the other two cops to the left of the cop kneeling on Mr. George Floyd neck were doing. The first time I saw this I only saw the cop standing blocking the view and the one on his neck. What were the other two doing.
Bruh these police man think just because the have a badge means the can do the heck they want with African Americans but then when we speak up for ourselves its considered disrespectThese young people give me hope, but how sad to have to protest another murder of a Black man in America in 2020.imagine for a second: you’re powerless, laying face down on the ground, handcuffed, with someone’s knee cutting off your air. you’re pleading, begging for your life. you watch others around you, helpless, as you feel your life slowly slip away. we need to do better. #GeorgeFloyd
