Gauteng Health Department Confirms, Tembisa mother of 10 was never pregnant
The fairy tale surrounding the existence of 10 babies who are alleged to have been conceived by Tembisa woman Gosiame Sithole has comes to a dramatic conclusion with the creators of the script forced to fall on their sword.
In the wake of the viral story which made all sorts of headlines across the globe the Gauteng Premier and the South African Government at large has put the case to rest. It was confirmed yesterday that Gosiame Sithole was never pregnant and she never gave birth to 10 babies as reported by the media.
In the wake of this confirmation The Pretoria News editor Piet Rampedi has since issued out a public apology. No doubt Rampedi’s story made all sorts of headlines after it was reported that Sithole had given birth to decuplets and broken a world record.
Of interest in this whole decuplets, story saga is that Sithole made Mzansi believe that she indeed gave birth to decuplets.
Was it a scam gone wrong case or what? She even went awol and shared a series of videos on what she did with her babies after her thrust into the limelight. Recently she trended after it was reported that she was nabbed against her will and her lawyer filed some petitions to sue the government.

However in the mix of things the government has made it known that it might sue the paper in regards to this article. In confirming the news medical practitioners at Tembisa hospital hammered the final nail in the coffin when on Monday after running various tests established that:
“Ms Sithole did not give birth to any babies in recent times. It has also been established that she was not pregnant in recent times.”
However, in a statement, the Gauteng provincial government, indicated that Sithole will undergo medical, social, and psychological evaluations to help her deal with the aftermath of the fiasco.
“Ms Sithole was admitted to Tembisa hospital on 18 June 2021, and various medical tests were conducted on her to determine her state of health. Initially, she was meant to be kept at the hospital for 72 hours, which lapsed on Tuesday 22 June. Upon completing their preliminary examination on Monday, her doctors recommended that he be kept at the hospital for further 7 days for further observation, in accordance with the Mental Healthcare Act,” read the statement.
