Gabisile Tshabalala has landed a role in a new crime series called HouseWives. The series started streaming yesterday on etv’s new app evod.
Gabisile as Lolo in HouseWives
The actress who is infamous for her skills with firearms will star as Lolo in the series. Lolo had a rough childhood, having been raised by her father after her mother died. Her father had found it difficult to raise his daughter in a community where they believed superstitions about children born from a parent with albinism. She was left at an orphanage by her father, where she met Tebza. The two became inseparable after he saved her from boys who tried to rape her. The two fall in love, and Tebza introduces her to drugs. Lolo has a lot of anger issues due to her childhood, but all she wants is to be happy. Life, however, has other plans for her as she ends up in criminal activities, forced to work for a cartel to pay her husband’s debts. The cast of the new drama series will include famous actors like Angela Lieveaux, Sive Mabuya, Renate Stuurman, Loyiso MacDonald, Meshack Mavuso, etc.
Who is Gabisile Tshabalala?
The actress is a 31-year-old mother of five. Gabisile adopted her three older children. She fell pregnant with her fourth child soon after the adoption. She recently welcomed her fifth child during the lockdown. The actress won the hearts of many South Africans on TV when she played Pinkie in Hola Mpintshi on SABC 1. She was cast in Intersexions as Sylvia; although it was a minor role, it shot her to fame. Scandal cast her as Gontse, but she was let go because she fell pregnant. This drove the actress to come out and be a voice of how pregnant women are treated differently in the workplace. Currently, the actress is also a presenter on etv’s Stena Redemption.
