Born on the 25th of November 1987, Khayelihle Nkosinathi Mthethwa is a celebrated gospel musician. He was born and bred in Umlazi Durban to Bhekithemba and Lulu Mthethwa; his father was an ordained pastor and influenced Khaya’s Christian background that, saw him hunting a career in the niche.
Khaya developed an interest in music at a young age; at ten, he started playing ed drums and singing at church. He was lucky that his parents saw his talent in music and coached him to be the professional singer he is today.
