Former Ukhozi DJ Ngizwe Mchunu confirms that he will hand himself to the police
The drama around the Free Zuma protests is far from over. A few days ago former Security Minister turned himself in to answer allegations questions being levelled against him. In the mix of the former Ukhozi DJ Ngizwe Mchunu also confirmed that he will be turning himself in too.
Today there is a large presence of journalists outside the Durban central police station. The station is where the latter is expected to hand himself in. The seasoned Radio personality saw himself trending of late after he made a public announcement on social media that he was handing himself over to police following allegations that he is one of those implicated in the protests, destruction, and looting in KwaZulu-Natal.
However, according to sources on the ground, he is yet to hand himself. The personality was fingered amongst the several suspects which have since seen their names flooded on social media. Amongst the suspects is the Former Head of State Security Agency’s (SSA) Thulani Dlomo. It has been reported that Dlomo has since handed himself in.
Although the police confirmed they expect Mchunu to hand himself over, they could not comment on what charges he will face.

However, the Minister of police has since indicated that there are suspects which are under investigation. The unrest has seen South Africa, losing billon of dollars. Investigations are underway to determine if ex-State Security Agency agents close to former president Jacob Zuma are fanning unrest in Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal.
However, State Security Minister Ayanda Dlodlo indicated that they are investigations underway. In the mix of things, the minister didn’t reveal the names under investigation. State Security Minister Ayanda Dlodlo indicated that they were investigating former senior SSA agents.
“We did receive such information, and we are investigating it. Any information that comes to us we investigate. We do an analysis and we shift fact from fiction. That information we are working on.
Our responsibility is to gather and collate information and package it properly for a client which is law enforcement or a client that so needs it,” she added.
