Munetsi extends contract: Former Orlando Pirates midfielder Marshall Munetsi has extended his contract at French Ligue 1 club Reims to stay until the summer of 2024. Munetsi impressed in his first season in France providing an assist in the game against Ligue 1 leaders PSG.

Munetsi first made his name at Ubuntu Cape Town before moving to Baroka Swallows. He cemented his position as one of the best midfielders in the Premier Soccer League after joining Orlando Pirates. His deep lying defensive role saw him appear 28 times for Orlando Pirates.

Munetsi’s move to Reims
Munetsi moved to France in the winter of 2019 for an undisclosed fee.
He stared in a game against PSG when he managed to stifle Neymar and contributed an assist.
Marshall Munetsi was shown a red card in the return leg against PSG after stamping on Neymar.
Munetsi extends contract
He has earned his paymasters trust and he will be at the club for four additional years after he extended his contract.
