Fadzai Mahere tests positive for Covid-19
MDC spokesperson Fadzai Mahere has tested positive for Covid-19 sources say. After receiving bail on the 18th of January, Mahere spent a week behind bars. She was at Chikurubi Maximum Prison.
Mahere was being accused of publishing falsehoods in a case involving the woman whose child was allegedly hit by a police officer.
Some videos and pictures on social media show Mahere with other felonies without any social distancing or Covid-19 measures in act. During her time in prison other sources also say that not much Covid-19 safety precautions were taken.
Fadzayi Mahere is a prominent Zimbabwean lawyer and politician. She is a member of the MDC party. Mahere fights for change and justice in Zimbabwe.
Covid-19 seems to be settling in Zimbabwe and as each day passes more and more are dying.
