As usual, Idols, SA is trending after heralding its latest episode on Mzansi Magic Channel 161. The show announced their top 5 this night, and Mzansi was curious about who was going to kiss goodbye to Idols SA. Idols SA is becoming a tough competition as all the contestants are energetic performers with melodic voices. To help and nature the contestants are the judges’ JR, Thembi Seete and Somizi Mhlongo. The judges have played a significant role in nourishing the talents of Idols SA contestants. However, the new judge JR Bogopa has impressed Mzansi with his extraordinary judging skills. His craft can never go unnoticed as he is stealing the light from other judges with his professional judging prowess.

JR Bogopa is a man of few words, but when he judges, he details the technical skills the contestants need to apply to win. Twitterati posted:
JR is doing an excellent job as a judge. He’s a musical genius. He knows exactly what he’s talking about, from technical to the do-re-mi-fas of the song. He’s perfect for this job #idolssa
Other Idols SA viewers came to the post to acknowledge that JR Bogopa understood his assignment as a judge and is doing wonders. Mzansi compared him to former Idols SA judge Randal who was also a master of his craft. However, it’s hard to compare JR Bogopa to Randall Abrahams, as he is still a newcomer in the world of judging. He is a stranger to the judges’ chair and needs to gain rich experience before Mzansi raises comparisons against him and Randall.
JR Bogopa on finding his spot on Idols SA
When Idols SA introduced a new set of judges for season 18, many thought JR would not replace Randall perfectly. After Idols SA aired its first episode for Season 18, the show was topping the trends on social media as Mzansi demanded Randall back and accused JR Bogopa of being too soft.
JR was still trying to find his spot as a unique Idols SA judge, and we can all agree that he has found his mark and is doing his job excellently. He is an excellent judge who takes his career seriously without taking sides.
