Ex-Senior Zanu PF official Tendai Savanhu dies

Tendai Savanhu an expelled senior ZANU PF official has died. Former ZANU PF Politburo member and Minister Saviour Kasukuwere and Jealousy Mawarire confirm the news.

Kasukuwere took to twitter a sad message.

“Hon Tendai Savanhu (Seke Mutema). Rufu ndimadzonhonyedze muzukuru. We are in dep pain on your untimely and sad departure Mhofu. Rip Mhofu Muzukuru,” he wrote.

The cause of death is COVID-19. This is reduced from the condoling messages sent by the late’s colleagues. Tendai Savanhu served as Deputy Lands Minister under the Mugabe regime. He was once the Member of Parliament for Mbare.

In 2015, Tendai Savanhu got expelled from ZANU PF. A few years later he was readmitted. In August 2020, he was expelled again together with Cleveria Chizema. This is because the two were said to have been the organisers of the #31 July anti-corruption national protests.

Also known the Chipangano terror group godfather, Tendai Savanhu was always caught between shady deals during his tenure as a ZANU PF member.
