Makhadzi took to Instagram to share amazing news. Yes, she has done it again by scoring a major achievement under her belt. She told her social media followers that she has 13 plaques. Makhadzi thanked her fans for making sure everything she touches turns to platinum.
Gold status
Makhadzi announced to fans that her album titled African Queen reached Gold status. African Queen received the plaque within a year of its release. In South Africa, it means the singer reached a total of 10 000 unit sales with that album. All of this includes album sales, on-demand songs and video streams.
Double platinum album
Makhadzi also mentioned her studio album titled Khokhoba received a double platinum plaque. For an album to qualify for a double-platinum plaque it needs to sell over 20k unit copies. It means the African Queen sold over 40k copies of the Khokhoba album.
One platinum single
Her song featuring the artist Jon Deliger titled Zwivhuya got platinum and she was so proud of it. Her single alone sold over 20k units.
Two double-platinum singles
Her song with Prince Benza titled Ghanama received double platinum status meaning it sold over 40k units. Ghanama was a huge song in Mzansi and there is a Zulu version out there.
Makhadzi’s single with Mlindo The Vocalist titled Mjolo received double platinum as well. Makhadzi is officially the platinum queen.

On the post where she made her social media announcement, she shared a small snippet of an interview. Makhadzi keeps saying she is happy in the clip.
Fans are impressed
Fans of the Ghanama hitmaker couldn’t stop raving about how special she is. One fan said Makhadzi is one of cloth and they don’t make that fabric anymore. Others asked her to release Change Magiya so it also becomes a double-platinum hit as well.
