Iva Ristic, the wife of Elton Jantjies, has commented on the reported breakup of the former Springbok star and his girlfriend Ashleigh Ogle.
Ashleigh claimed that she suffered a lot during her three-month relationship with Elton, who is still legally married to Iva, the mother of his three children. Elton was in the spotlight a year ago when he admitted to having a long affair with Springbok dietician Zeenat Simjee, who denied it. Iva Ristic told The South African what she thought of Elton and Ashleigh’s split.
She said: “I only talked to her once, when she moved into our house, to tell her that we were still legally married. I also warned her about some problems she might face.” Iva continued: “She obviously didn’t listen to me and was clueless about who she wanted to have babies with.” Iva also said that she didn’t understand why they announced their breakup publicly. “I don’t get why they need to share their private issues with the world and make a joke of themselves. Especially because she has a young daughter and we have three little boys who will read about this circus one day. “I wish them both well. I hope they can sort out their issues privately.”
In September, Iva said that she was still legally married to Elton, who had “refused” to sign their divorce papers. The model and DJ said that Elton had also told her that he still wanted to fix their marriage. She said then: “He asked me to wait for him as he was not emotionally ready to let me go, and he was not ready to take that step. The problem is that it’s been a year since I asked for a divorce. He still won’t sign the papers”.
