EFF calls for immediate closure of schools
EFF calls for immediate closure of schools after a spike in covid-19 cases. The alleged 3rd wave is scaring everyone and the increase in number of infections mostly in schools has pushed the EFF leader Julius Malema to call for immediate closure of contact learning.
During his presser earlier today Julius Malema said if the government does not close schools then EFF will close schools themselves.
“Following the announcement of the Third Wave, under the rising number of infections we call on immediate closure of contact learning. We give the minister 7 days to close schools, failure to do that we will close the schools ourselves as the EFF. We can’t risk losing our kids,” he said.
Knowing EFF the party members might protest and when they say they will do something they do it. This comes after a school in Actonville was reported to have been overwhelmed by the increase in covid-19 cases. On the 31st of May the President called for a family meeting which resulted in South Africa moving to lockdown level 2.

The public is now concerned about the health of their children and other teachers but it is reported that the district does not want to close down the school. Members of the public are not entirely happy with the situation but some think the school should not close at all. A certain population is worried with the way teachers are being treated.
The EFF leader also touched on many issues in South Africa. These include the suspension of ANC Secretary General Ace Magashule, corruption and state capture cases in South Africa and the scandal surrounding Zweli Mkhize among other issues.
One more thing Malema mentioned that caught everyone’s attention is that people are going to Zimbabwe for vaccination. This got people on social media saying all sorts of things.
